Tribal Journeys of the Northwest
This 15-minute film documents the largest gathering of tribally based, ocean-going canoes in history and celebrates the rebirth and growing vitality of the Native American cultures of the Northwest.
Recorded primarily during the summer of 2008, the camera captures the spirit of indigenous peoples of the region as they invest their heart, soul and physical strength into what has become an annual event known simply as “Tribal Journeys.”
Much cultural sharing and learning takes place as the hearts and minds of these tribal peoples are empowered and strengthened. Director: Gary Robinson Program Length: 15 minutes Release Date: 2009
