We Are Our Language

In the Yukon Province of Canada, there are fourteen First Nations and eight languages that are indigenous to the region. All of the languages are endangered, with the Tagish language no longer having any fluent speakers. "We Are Our Language" asks the question, what is lost when a language is lost?
Follow the strory of colonialism, assimilation, resilience, struggle, and bravery for maintaining identity, family, and a way of life. The key to overcoming the struggle for many can be found in Indigenous language.
